BillyHeads ID Program

After months of discussion and work behind the scenes by the staff, we have developed and initiated an identification card program that will allow you to receive one neck tag on a lanyard and one ID card for your wallet. These have, in the past, been available to the staff and certain selected members.

• The neck tag ID is approximately 3 1/4" x 5 1/2", and is laminated in a 10mil layer of mylar. It hangs vertically on a loop or lanyard around the neck, and has a chrome clasp for the ID Tag.
• The wallet ID card is the size of a regular credit card, and is also laminated in 10mil mylar.

Supplied Information

You must provide two bits of information to us in order to create and send you an ID. The first is your message board username. The second is an address we can send the ID to. It can be any address so long as you can receive your ID there. (Please be very specific on whether or not you want the address you supply included on your ID cards.)

Please format the address just the way it should appear on the mailing label (and wallet ID card, if you wish to have it on there). Sometimes, an address is entered all on one line, and it's very difficult to determine what should be on different lines, especially for non U.S. addresses. For example, "555 Main Street North Metropolis, New York" could mean "Main Street North" is the street name or "North Metropolis" is the city.

Optionally, you may include the following information on your neck ID:

• Your name (first, or first and last).
• A picture.

The picture may be of yourself, of Billy, or any other picture you wish to use. Simply let us know how you want it done. If you want a different picture than any we have, send it to Tom's e-mail address at tcrowley@billyheads.com. While we can use avatars, they don't scale well, so if you can point to the original picture, that would be much better. It takes a lot of time to track down the original photos from which avatars were made, so I'm going to stop doing so. Thus, specifying avatars is discouraged. You'll like the result much better if you find a full sized picture to use.

On the wallet ID, you may include:

• Your name.
• Address.
• Telephone number (or emergency contact number).
• A picture, either the same or different as the previous.

We will supply some standard information on the IDs, such as Membership SID# and the date you became a member.

We are making these available to every registered member in good standing of the BillyHeads site who desires one.

The front of the neck tag features our web site logo, a picture of Billy, your picture or another picture of your choice, your name and/or screen name, your membership number (both in numerics and barcode), and your registration date. The back side is for the placement of venue stickers. It is a BillyHeads blue, with a lightly contrasted picture of our mascots, Chocolate and Honks near the bottom.

The wallet ID card is a little different. Since it is a more personal form of ID, a more personal criteria will be allowed. This will also have our BillyHeads logo on the front, and a place for your personal picture. There will be a place for your name, address and other contact information, such as a telephone number or emergency contact number, as well as your registration date. On the back, your membership number will be there in barcode form. If you prefer, you may also include your screen name here, and a few other pertinent items if you wish. The staff reserves the right to disclude items of information or limit the amount of information to "comfortably" fit the ID card space constraints. Please do not give false information. In the case of an emergency, emergency personnel cannot waste precious time trying out false contact information. All personal information is voluntary. If you're not comfortable giving it, don't.

If you are under 18 years of age, please be sure to get your parents permission before contacting us for an ID set.

This program is completely free. In the event you lose your IDs, they will be replaced one time for free. After that, a five dollar fee will need to be received before a third set is sent out.

There is no time limit for applying. The program will remain open for the foreseeable future.

The staff would like to stress one thing: These IDs do not give you the keys to the executive bathroom, they do not make Billy show up at your door to sing for your birthday, they do not get you into Meet and Greets at concerts you wouldn't otherwise get to. There is no special "power" about them, so please don't expect there to be, and please don't ask.
